What Is Route 9 in Loomian Legacy?

Loomian Legacy route 9 opens up a large new map where learning the paths helps you cover more wild Loomian spawns between refreshes. The October 30, 2026 expansion continues the story with Mabel, Lucas, Lucy, and Jake while introducing new Loomians, Field Capture, and Expeditions. Start by learning the circuit from the train station through the mines and snowy areas, then extend your hunt toward Halfpine Village and Glacial Lake.

The area gives you more to do than stay in one grass patch. Visible overworld encounters let you move between spawn locations and look for targets along the way. Keep your first trip focused on navigation; save timed hunting boosts for when you can follow the paths without stopping to find your bearings.

Follow the Hunting Loop from the Train Station

Begin at Route 9 train station. The circuit covers the station-side encounters before moving through several distinct environments, then uses Halfpine Village as the starting point for its final stretch.

1. Check the encounters near the station. Head around the nearby corner and sweep the visible Loomians before continuing toward the mines.
2. Move through the mines. Look along the main path and check the pond for water-dwelling encounters. Include the lower crevice in your sweep rather than checking only the entrance.
3. Continue through the tree area. Follow the connecting path and scan the spawns around the trees.
4. Cross the spider-filled area. Check the encounters along the pathway as you move toward the snowy section.
5. Sweep Flurry Fields. Look through the visible encounters before switching to the village-side leg.
6. Fast travel to Halfpine Village when that destination is available. Head down the path into the woodland area and check the spawns near its entrance.
7. Return toward the snowy path and continue to Glacial Lake. Follow the path past the tower, turn left, and inspect the lake-area encounters.

After checking Glacial Lake, fast travel back to the train station to repeat the circuit. Learn the woodland entrance and the turn toward the lake before spending a boost on repeated runs.

Work Around the Five-Minute Spawn Refresh

Overworld encounters refresh every five minutes in this update. Traveling back and forth between areas does not immediately replace the Loomians you just checked.

Build your circuit around that interval:

• Check each area before returning to the beginning.
• If you finish early, use the remaining time for grass encounters or captures.
• Allow time for fresh spawns before repeating the same sweep.
• Capture a target you want when you find it; overworld encounters can despawn.

Catching Loomians along the way is compatible with the circuit. It simply adds time to that run, so adjust your pace around the captures you actually want.

Keep spawn coverage separate from encounter odds. Checking more Loomians gives you more opportunities to find a target, but it does not guarantee a Roaming or Gleaming.

Field Capture and Rare Encounters

Field Capture is one of the expansion’s new collection features, alongside the Expeditions system. The overworld hunting circuit gives you a way to inspect visible encounters across the map while searching for new additions to your collection.

Secret Ability encounters now display an indicator above the wild Loomian’s head. Scan those indicators during each sweep instead of looking only at the species. You can also identify a captured Loomian’s Secret Ability through the purple sigma symbol on its summary page.

Roamings can appear in the overworld, so include visible spawns in your hunt. Avoid rushing past an unfamiliar Loomian just to finish another lap.

Save Boosts for a Route You Know

Loomiboosts offer separate effects for Gleaming hunting, Roaming and Corrupt encounters, experience, Training Points, and rallying. Choose the effect that matches your session rather than activating a boost before deciding what to hunt.

For this circuit, learn the travel points and connecting paths first. Then activate your chosen hunting boost and begin at the station. Boosts improve your chances, but a full session can still end without the rare encounter you wanted.
