What Does a Wisp Bottle Do?

Want a different wisp color on your Gamma Gleaming? The Loomian Legacy wisp bottle replaces its existing wisp with a random new variant, letting you change that detail of its appearance. You cannot choose the result, and a Rainbow Wisp is outside the bottle’s possibilities.

Wisp Bottles work on Gamma Gleaming Loomians with non-Rainbow Wisps. Use them outside battle to change the wisp’s color; they have no effect in battle.

The Rainbow restrictions apply in both directions:

• A bottle cannot produce a Rainbow Wisp.
• A bottle cannot be used on a Loomian that already has a Rainbow Wisp.

Buying more bottles does not bypass either restriction. If your goal is specifically a Rainbow Wisp, do not spend Robux on rerolls hoping to get one.

For other colors, decide which results you would keep before you start. Stop when you get a combination you like—the next reroll is another random result, rather than a selectable upgrade.

The item joined Veils of Shadow in v0.3.3a on October 22, 2020. Its in-game description presents it as a bottle of rare dye, which fits its purpose: changing the color of an existing wisp.

Keep wisp customization separate from Gleaming hunting. Alpha and Gamma are different Gleaming varieties, while this bottle specifically targets a Gamma’s wisp. The Gleaming Loomiboost increases your chance of encountering a Gleaming by 16 times for 15 minutes. That boost still leaves encounters random; it does not guarantee a Gleaming during its duration. Use the bottle for a color change after you have an eligible Gamma.

Secret Abilities also have their own identification system. Look for the purple sigma symbol on a Loomian’s summary page or the purple marker in the trading interface to identify a Secret Ability. Those markers identify an Ability rather than a wisp variant. Secret Abilities can appear through wild encounters, rallying, and Petrolith revival, and the Ability Charm increases the chance of obtaining them.

Where to Buy Wisp Bottles and What They Cost

You can purchase bottles through Loomian Goods stores or the LoomiWatch. The prices are:

Ten individual purchases cost 200 Robux, so the bundle saves 20 Robux compared with buying the same quantity separately.

Buy a single bottle if you only want one attempt. If you already intend to purchase 10, choose the bundle for the lower total price. Keep your spending limit separate from your desired color: paying for additional attempts still leaves the outcome random.

These purchases use Robux. Do not confuse the bottle’s price with the Loomian Dollars used for other supplies sold at Loomian Goods.

The 10-bottle bundle arrived in v0.4.10 on June 9, 2023. That update added the bulk purchase option after the item’s original introduction. At 180 Robux for 10, each bottle in the bundle effectively costs 18 Robux, compared with 20 Robux individually.

Loomian Center shops also carry capture discs and supplies such as potions, antidotes, and repellent. Look for Wisp Bottles among the goods rather than confusing them with the Center’s healing or Loomian storage services.

Free Wisp Bottles and Past Event Rewards

The Lucky Wheel offers a Wisp Bottle as a possible reward. It is a chance to obtain one without buying the bottle directly, rather than a guaranteed bottle from every spin.

Past Loomunity events also offered bottles through their Tennis Ticket Exchanges:

Both event exchanges have ended. Those offers were limited event purchases, so they are not ongoing alternatives to the Robux shop. For bottles outside those past events, use the Lucky Wheel reward opportunity or the regular purchase options.

The Lucky Wheel reward was added in v0.4.0 on May 20, 2022, before the bulk purchase option arrived. Its bottle reward is one Wisp Bottle, compared with the three-bottle packs offered by each of those past Tennis Ticket Exchanges.
