What Does Bond Do for Florant?
The Loomian Legacy bond mechanic matters when you want to evolve Vari into Buzzolen. Florant needs a perfect bond with its trainer to release the pollen used for this evolution. Focus on Florant’s bond when preparing this interaction.
Checking a perfectly bonded Florant can make it release pollen. When that pollen sticks to Vari, Vari can evolve into Buzzolen. Florant supplies the pollen; Vari is the Loomian that evolves.
Keep those roles straight when setting up the evolution:
- Florant: Needs a perfect bond with you and releases pollen when checked.
- Vari: Receives Florant’s pollen to evolve into Buzzolen.
Once Florant has a perfect bond, check it for the pollen interaction. The important requirement belongs to the individual Florant you’re using, so prepare that Loomian before attempting the evolution.

How to Get Florant for the Pollen Interaction
You can obtain Florant through either of these routes:

- Evolve Antsee starting at Level 22.
- Catch Florant in the wild on Route 8.
If you already have Antsee, raise it to its evolution level to get Florant. If you’re exploring Route 8, look for Florant directly. It is a Plant/Bug-type Loomian.
If you train Antsee into Florant, its evolution brings access to Sap Plant. Florant’s later level-up moves include Pester at Level 24, Bush Whack at Level 26, Parasitize at Level 31, Nature’s Force at Level 36, and Wonder Herb at Level 44. Reassign its level-up moves through the Battle tab of the Loomians app when you want to adjust its moveset.
For battles along the way, pay attention to Florant’s defensive matchups. Ice attacks deal four times normal damage, while Fire, Air, Toxic, and Brawler attacks deal twice normal damage. Water and Electric attacks deal half damage, and Plant and Earth attacks deal one-quarter damage. Florant is immune to Light attacks. A Florant with Woodsman also has immunity to Plant moves.
Florant’s regular Abilities are Mystery Toxins and Woodsman, while its Secret Ability is Drainage. Drainage increases the Health recovered through health-draining moves by 50%. That gives its recovery moves another mechanic to consider when preparing it for battles.
Its base stats changed in the November 30, 2024 update. Florant now has 105 Health, 88 Energy, 55 Melee Attack, 105 Melee Defense, 82 Ranged Attack, 105 Ranged Defense, and 35 Speed, totaling 575. Those are its base values; the individual Loomian’s final stats also involve UPs, TPs, Personality, and level.
You can also work through Florant’s Mastery objectives while collecting and training it:
- Earn 20,000 Experience with Florant for 300 Mastery points.
- Capture 5 Florant for 200 Mastery points.
- Rally 20 Florant for 400 Mastery points.
- Knock out 10 Loomians using Florant in battle for 100 Mastery points.
Flower color gives individual Florant another visible difference. Its buds have 2,048 possible color variations, using 32 hues, eight saturation levels, and eight brightness levels. The color is random, including for rallied Florant, and these cosmetic differences do not affect its stats. A newly evolved Florant can temporarily display a white bud before its model corrects to the color shown on its menu sprite.
Keep Floraburst separate from your Buzzolen preparation. That held item allows Florant to transform into Flychomp Florant through Soul Burst during battle. The pollen interaction instead uses Florant’s perfect bond with its trainer and evolves Vari into Buzzolen.
Flychomp Florant retains the Plant/Bug typing but gains Power Jaw and the Soul Move Carnivorous Snap. Its base Melee Attack rises to 123, both defensive stats become 112, and Speed becomes 50. Health remains 105 and Energy remains 88, while Ranged Attack becomes 55, bringing its base stat total to 645. Florant also carries its bud color into this transformation, where it colors the flowers and the leaves on the back of the flytrap.
