Route 9: Train Station, Flurry Fields, and Glacial Lake

Route 9 gives you a whole new hunting circuit to learn. This Loomian Legacy locations guide connects its encounter areas with weather hunts and specific collection targets, so you can spend more time finding Loomians and less time retracing paths. Start at the Route 9 train station, then split your sweep into the station-side areas and the paths reached from Halfpine Village.

The October 30, 2026 Route 9 expansion adds more than another stretch of wilderness:

Follow the Station-Side Hunting Circuit

Use these landmarks to organize your sweep. The tree and spider areas below are descriptive landmarks along the path.

  1. Start at the Route 9 train station. Go around the corner and sweep the nearby overworld encounters.
  2. Continue into the mines. Check the main path, the lower crevice, and the pond for visible Loomians.
  3. Move through the tree area. Scan the encounters along the route before continuing.
  4. Pass through the spider area. Check the trench-like paths and nearby encounter spots.
  5. Finish this stretch at Flurry Fields. Sweep the snowy encounter area before traveling to Halfpine Village.

Continue From Halfpine Village

Once Halfpine Village is available as a travel destination, use it for the remaining part of the circuit:

  1. Travel to Halfpine Village.
  2. Head down the path into the woodlands and check the first encounter area.
  3. Return to the snowy path near the woodland entrance.
  4. Follow the path past the tower, continue around, and turn left toward Glacial Lake.
  5. Check the lake-side encounters before returning to the train station.

Overworld encounters refresh on a five-minute cycle. Moving back and forth between areas does not force them to reset. Allow that interval between sweeps, and catch a target when you find it: visible encounters can despawn.

Practice the circuit before activating a timed Loomiboost. Learning the turns while a boost is running uses time you could spend checking encounters.

Weather Locations: Where to Hunt Exclusive Loomians

For weather-exclusive Loomians, your destination changes with the forecast. Open LoomiWatch → Navigate → Weather to see affected locations and forecasts up to four hours ahead.

Weather changes every real-world hour. Forecast times follow your local time zone, and every server shares the same weather schedule. Check the forecast before traveling instead of changing servers to chase different conditions.

PipseeStrong Gusts1/64
WispurDense Fog1/64
SmoalSmoldering Heat1/64
NymvoltSevere Thunderstorm1/64
CosmeleonAny adverse weather1/1024

Weather can affect connected areas within the same loading zone. For example, Strong Gusts in Sepharite Junkyard also allow Pipsee encounters on Route 7. Heiwa Cemetery and Route 5 also share weather conditions.

Ordinary overworld weather does not affect sheltered locations such as Igneus Hollow, POLUT Campus, or Aranatta Trench. Areas without regular wild encounter patches, including Bob's Pond, Heiwa Village, and Sepharite City, also sit outside the normal inclement-weather hunting system.

Check Which Species Is Acting Strangely

During adverse weather, the forecast can identify a species that is acting strangely on the affected route. Encounters with that species receive:

  • At least three stats with maximum Unique Points.
  • A pure positive Personality.
  • A 1/128 Secret Ability chance, increased to 1/32 with the Ability Charm.

Check that species alongside your weather-exclusive target. The benefit also carries into connected areas when the species normally appears in both locations.

Weather Evolution Trips

Bring an evolution-ready Loomian when traveling to an affected route. Several evolutions require leveling up under a specific overworld weather condition.

Match the destination to the forecast, then level up your Loomian while the required weather is active. For example, take Vari to an area experiencing Strong Gusts and gain a level there to evolve it into Zepholen.

Keep these evolution trips on the same checklist as your weather catches. A visit for Pipsee can also handle a ready Dandylil or Vari.

Route 8: Find Florant and Prepare for Buzzolen

Florant appears in wild encounters on Route 8. You can also obtain it by evolving Antsee starting at Level 22.

Florant has another collection use beyond filling its own Loomipedia entry. With a perfect bond, it can release pollen when you check it. Letting that pollen stick to Vari evolves Vari into Buzzolen.

Keep these targets separate:

  • Normal Florant: Catch one on Route 8 or evolve Antsee.
  • Buzzolen: Use pollen from a perfect-bond Florant on Vari.
  • Flychomp Florant: Have Florant hold a Floraburst, then use Soul Burst during battle.

Flychomp Florant is a battle transformation, so you do not need to search a separate wild location for it. Rainbow Florant belonged to the 2023 Rainbow Event and is unavailable through current wild encounters.

Event Locations: Meteor Showers and Egg Rain

Event hunts use different locations from ordinary weather hunts. Follow the active event's destinations rather than returning to an old route automatically.

Meteor Showers previously appeared on Routes 3, 4, and 6. During Loomunity Events, they have appeared in Loomunity Park, where meteorites fall on the beach. Cosmiore is tied to this event condition.

Egg Rain has appeared on Routes 3, 4, 6, and 8, plus Cheshma Town, Silvent City, Heiwa Village, Sepharite Junkyard, and Atlanthian City. During its later appearances, collecting a falling egg had a 25% chance of producing Kyeggo.

The 2026 Rainbow Dreggodyne Event ended on July 6, when Egg Rain was removed. Those locations are historical event destinations, rather than an active October hunting circuit.

Rally Ranch and Trade Resort: Fill Collection Gaps

Use Rally Ranch for rallying tasks while you work on other collection goals. You can leave rallying underway and complete other Loomians' mastery requirements during the same session.

For a species missing from your collection, visit the Trade Resort and ask for that specific Loomian. Check the offer's summary before accepting, especially when you want a particular Ability. Secret Abilities have a purple symbol on the summary page and a purple marker in the trading interface.

Before your next hunting trip, tick off the practical stops:

  • Practice the Route 9 circuit before spending a timed boost.
  • Check the weather forecast for your target species.
  • Bring Loomians ready for weather-based evolution.
  • Visit Route 8 if you still need Florant.
  • Set up rallying before heading back into the field.
