How to Get Bunpuff
Loomian Legacy Bunpuff is a carrot-cake bunny with a level-27 evolution and several event-exclusive looks. Getting one starts with knowing which form you want and when it appeared. Its Plant/Earth typing also brings two useful immunities and a dangerous Ice weakness.
Bunpuff’s wild encounters are tied to limited-time events, and its listed event encounter locations are currently inaccessible. Here are the locations and encounter rates from its previous appearances:
| Form | Event | Encounter location | Encounter chance |
|---|---|---|---|
| Normal | Third Anniversary Event, 2022 | Sweet Retreat | 1/50 |
| Normal | Halloween Events, 2024 and 2025 | Sweet Sanctuary | 1/50 |
| Lunar New Year | Lunar New Year Event, 2023 | Anywhere in Roria | 1/60 |
| Mummy | Halloween Event, 2025 | Sweet Sanctuary and Haunted Woods in Trick Retreat | 1/80 (1.25%) |
These are event-specific rates. Use the event and form together when planning a hunt; the normal, Lunar New Year, and Mummy versions have different encounter histories.
Lunar New Year and Radiant Bunpuff
The Lunar New Year form arrived on January 21, 2023. During that event, encountering this version carried an additional 1/10 (10%) chance of a Radiant effect, which surrounds it with colorful fireworks.
That 10% applies to Lunar New Year Bunpuff encounters, rather than every wild encounter. Radiant is also distinct from Alpha and Gamma Gleaming coloration.
The Lunar New Year versions of Bunpuff and Bunnecki have different idle and running animations from their normal counterparts, giving collectors something beyond a color change.
Mummy Bunpuff
Mummy Bunpuff arrived on October 10, 2025. Its Halloween encounter rate was 1/80, compared with the normal form’s 1/50 rate during its listed event appearances.
Keep the form name in mind when discussing trades. “Bunpuff” alone does not distinguish the normal design from its seasonal versions.

How to Evolve Bunpuff Into Bunnecki
Image: Roblox / Llama Train Studio
Bunpuff evolves into Bunnecki starting at level 27. Its evolution requirement is level-based, so focus on earning experience.
The Experience Boost Key Item can help with training. When enabled, it allows Loomians that did not participate in battle to earn experience and increases experience earned by benched Loomians. Toggle it through the Items app if you own it.
Bunpuff also has a mastery task requiring 20,000 experience earned. Work toward that task while training it toward evolution.
For move management, open the Battle tab in the Loomians app. Level-up moves can be reassigned freely there, so revisit its available attacks as it levels.
Bunpuff’s Base Stats and Type Weaknesses
Bunpuff has 357 total base stats, with Speed at 71 and Energy at 70. Its Ranged Attack is substantially higher than its Melee Attack.

| Stat | Base value |
|---|---|
| Health | 46 |
| Energy | 70 |
| Melee Attack | 22 |
| Melee Defense | 41 |
| Ranged Attack | 56 |
| Ranged Defense | 51 |
| Speed | 71 |
| Total | 357 |
Favor ranged attacks when choosing moves for Bunpuff itself. Its base Ranged Attack of 56, compared with 22 Melee Attack, gives that advice a clear statistical basis.
Its defensive matchups are:
- 4× weakness: Ice.
- 2× weaknesses: Fire, Dark, and Bug.
- ½× resistance: Earth.
- Immunities: Light and Electric.
- Neutral damage: Water, Plant, Air, Toxic, Metal, Ancient, Spirit, Brawler, Mind, and Simple.
Switch away from threatening Ice attacks whenever possible. The quadruple weakness is especially dangerous alongside Bunpuff’s 46 base Health.
Plant attacks normally deal neutral damage to it, but Noxious Weeds adds a Plant immunity. Check the individual Bunpuff’s ability before relying on that matchup.
Abilities and Secret Ability Hunting
Bunpuff has two regular abilities, Adorable and Noxious Weeds, plus the Secret Ability Glutton.

- Adorable lowers opposing Loomians’ Melee Defense when Bunpuff enters battle.
- Noxious Weeds makes Plant-type attacks ineffective against it.
- Glutton strengthens the effects of certain consumable items, including Milkshake.
Adorable affects Melee Defense, so its entry effect does not directly strengthen Bunpuff’s ranged attacks. Noxious Weeds changes a defensive matchup, while Glutton depends on the consumable being used.
Secret Ability Rates
The Ability Charm costs 350 Robux and improves Secret Ability odds across several obtaining methods. These are the relevant rates for wild encounters and rallying:
| Obtaining method | Without Ability Charm | With Ability Charm |
|---|---|---|
| Wild encounter | 1 in 512 | 1 in 256 |
| Rallying | 1 in 256 | 1 in 128 |
| Rallying with a Secret Ability Rally Leader | 1 in 64 | 1 in 32 |
Use a Secret Ability Rally Leader when pursuing Glutton through rallying. That setup improves the listed odds with or without the charm.
Check for the purple sigma symbol on the summary page when identifying a Secret Ability Loomian. The trading interface also uses a purple marker, making it useful when inspecting a Bunpuff offered in a trade.
Moves to Know Before Training
Bunpuff learns ranged attacks in both of its own types early on. Quicksand arrives at level 6, followed by Leaf Barrage at level 14.
Plant- and Earth-type attacks receive its 25% Attack Type Bonus. The Strength values below are the moves’ listed values before that bonus.
| Move | How Bunpuff learns it | Type and category | Strength | Accuracy | Energy |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Quicksand | Level 6 | Earth, Ranged | 60 | 100% | 35 |
| Leaf Barrage | Level 14 | Plant, Ranged | 65 | 90% | 30 |
| Sap Plant | Level 18 | Plant, Support | — | 90% | 30 |
| Mud Spatter | Move Manual | Earth, Ranged | 55 | 100% | 30 |
| Life Drain | Rallying | Plant, Ranged | 75 | 100% | 48 |
| Nature’s Force | Rallying | Plant, Ranged | 90 | 100% | 50 |
| Pheroblast | Rallying | Bug, Ranged | 90 | 100% | 50 |
Compare accuracy and Energy cost alongside Strength. Leaf Barrage costs less Energy than Quicksand but has 90% accuracy; Mud Spatter offers a 100%-accurate Earth attack at a lower Energy cost and Strength than Quicksand.
Bunpuff’s additional rally moves include Boom Bash, Brawn Boost, Earthquake, Magnify, Poison, Timber Thrash, and Wonder Herb. Pheroblast joined its rally learnset on July 8, 2024.
Choose attacks around Bunpuff’s own stats rather than Strength alone. Earthquake and Timber Thrash are melee attacks, despite belonging to its types.
Bunpuff Mastery Tasks
Bunpuff has four mastery objectives:
- Earn 20,000 experience with it: 300 mastery points.
- Deal 2,000 damage with it in battle: 200 mastery points.
- Knock out 5 Loomians using super-effective moves with it: 300 mastery points.
- Rally 20 Bunpuff: 200 mastery points.
Target favorable matchups while completing the knockout objective so those battles also contribute damage and experience. Keep rallying underway while working on the battle tasks to make progress on both parts of its mastery.
